In this 60 minute webinar, attendees will learn the factors that contribute to lagoon aeration efficiency, including the alpha factor, depth, flux rate, system pressure, and more; how to design a lagoon aeration system to maximize efficiency, including blower selection and VFDs; and ways to operate an existing lagoon system that reduce energy expense, including airflow modulation, DO monitoring and control, and recirculation.

Preapproved for 1 continuing education hour in Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, New Mexico, Ohio, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming with the successful completion of the quiz and verified attendance. Likely accepted in states that do not preapprove CEUs, such as Alabama and South Carolina. Eligible for PDH credit in all states.


Braden Galbreath-O’Leary is a lagoon specialist for Triplepoint Environmental, a company dedicated to providing cutting edge and cost effective solutions for wastewater lagoons across North America. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Braden began his career with Sheaffer & Roland, a civil engineering firm focused on the design, build, and operation of wastewater treatment lagoon systems. He joined Triplepoint, based in Centennial, Colorado, in 2007, and has since worked with hundreds of lagoon owners to help extend the life of lagoon systems, improve efficiency, expand capacity, and meet new effluent requirements.
